Judge Berryl A. Anderson is the Chief Magistrate Judge of DeKalb County who oversees "The People's Court" and is responsible for small claims court, intake in criminal cases and violations of the DeKalb County Code of Ordinances.
Debra DeBerry, Clerk of Superior Court in DeKalb County is charged by the Georgia Constitution with the care, custody and control of DeKalb County’s records. In her capacity, she is able to observe trends in cases and has noticed an increase in both civil and criminal cases involving Mental Health issues.

The Gwinnett County Police Department is a nationally accredited and rapidly growing police agency located in the Northeastern quadrant of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The Department currently has an authorized strength of 878 sworn officers supported by 274 civilian employees with the responsibility of providing law enforcement services to approximately 800,000 residents within an area of 436 square miles. The Department is organized into the Office of the Chief and two Bureaus with four Divisions: Administrative Services, Support Operations, Criminal Investigations and Uniform Divisions.
The SSPD has worked hand in hand with our citizens to reduce crime and disorder. Our mission is “To Prevent Crime and Enforce Law through Problem Solving Partnerships.” Our first priority is to prevent crime and protect our citizens. When crime does occur, we aggressively enforce the law.
